Resources

Here you’ll find some of the resources I use in my own tutoring sessions. I’ve created them myself and I’m happy to share them with you for free!

If you find them useful and would like to support me, you can leave a small donation by clicking the coffee cup. There’s absolutely no obligation, but it really does help me to keep creating new resources.

Thank you!

Freeze or Fry!
£0.00

Freeze or Fry is a fun, thermometer-themed game for practising positive and negative numbers. Starting at 0°C, players roll the dice and move up or down the thermometer, recording their new temperature after each turn.

With six rolls each, players race to reach the highest temperature while practising counting through zero, adding and subtracting and comparing positive and negative numbers.

The Greatest Volume Game
£0.00

Greatest Volume is a hands-on game that combines place value, multiplication and volume. Players roll a dice and decide where to place each number across the length, width and height of their cuboid, then build it using LEGO, cubes or other construction materials.

Players calculate the volume of their cuboid and compare their results to see who can create the greatest volume. It’s a practical way to explore how changing the position of numbers affects the final volume.

Rounding Shuffleboard
£0.00

Rounding Shuffleboard puts a fun twist on rounding practice. Players generate a random number, then slide their counter into one of the scoring zones. The zone they land in determines how they need to round their number, from the nearest 10 through to the nearest 1,000,000.

With different sheets offering different levels of challenge, children can practise rounding at a level that suits them while enjoying the competitive element of the game.
